A day and a half car trip before surgery. Is it safe?

Thank you for your question,While you may lay on your stomach in the backseat of the car, you will be sitting in the airplane ride. Generally speaking, patient should refrain from sitting until their 2 week post-op mark. The other safety issue is that being stationary for too long post-op increases your chance at getting a blood clot. This is considered an emergency. Furthermore, the blood clot may break off and enter your lungs. Please speak to your surgeon if you are concerned.Regards, 

Other than being exhausted if you are the only driver, you should be ok to make this trip the day before your BBL.  Would recommend that you not become dehydrated and take frequent rest breaks to stay alert. Hello dear!!Thanks for the question an provided information as well. There's no problem to do the trip before surgery. But, for you to be more peaceful i recommend you to drink tons of water and make some stops to walk around a little bit. Good luck :) 

Thank you for your question. The day before surgery to travel is ok. However you maybe exhausted. As far as the traveling afterwards needs to be discussed with you surgeon. Safe travels.
