Septorhino 7 months ago, Facts: 1. Same nostril still "Not As Open" 2. Causes continual clear "Condensation" (mucous) in this nostril 3. Plastic nasal dialators at night open my nasal passages up for hours after I remove them 4. Problem nostril just needs more flesh removed? 5. Can you remove flesh from both sides septum & turbinate that is protruding? 6. Vivaer or simple flesh removal procedure no general anesthesia needed?

A septoplasty can be performed and the septal cartilage can be removed. However, it will leave a margin approximately 1 cm on the dorsum as well as caudally to keep the mechanical strength. If that amount has not been removed then more can be removed. However, it looks like you have internal nasal valve collapse. This is corrected by incising the upper part of the cartilage or augmentig the lateral cartilage with a graft to help it stay open.

Based on your photographs, you may benefit from a Revision septoplasty and placement of alar batten grafts to stabilize the lateral crus and improve your breathing. With good surgical technique, you could have an outstanding result. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified rhinoplasty surgeon who can evaluate you in person.

At this point your problem is the side of the nose most likely. That is not the turbinates that is the lower lateral cartilage lateral crus that is protruding inward. You have what is called "External valve" obstruction. This is addressed surgically and done frequently in my office.
