Hello, I recently got fat grafting on my cheeks but day by day my cheeks have started to sag. I went back to same surgeon and he suggested I get liposuction to remove fat and now it is even worse, I would like a second opinion, please help me with this problem.

Answer: Making things worse Ideally you should’ve posted pictures between the two procedures. In my opinion you should never have had fat transfer in the first place. It’s a little late for that now. It’s very difficult to tell if the problem is too much fat or not enough fat or where the fat is.Facial fat transfer is somewhat imprecise and unpredictable.Facial aesthetics is an art that some providers are better at it than others.Removing previously grafted that is very difficult and Liposuction is not selective for removing the fact that was grafted.Patients who have had multiple bad experiences are generally very reluctant for surgical intervention. I suggest working with fillers which may be the most appropriate.Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
