I'm ready to use Minoxidil for 5-10 years. What would be the serious side effects?

I want to know whether I can retain my hairs till I want it like if I'm ready to use it for next 5years can I retain till I use it? And are there any serious side effects on body?

Minoxidil does not work for everyone but can be considered. If it does benefit you, it must be used forever or else hair loss will occur. The side effects of minoxidil should be discussed with your physician. They include: headaches, dizziness, heart palpitations, hair shedding. Other side effects have been reported and should be reviewed with your physician.

Redness after use of minoxidil  is a common side effect. Serum may cause irritation of the skin, redness, dryness, itchiness and dandruff because of alchol content of minoxidil  and very rarely dizziness or even heart palpitations. It would be better to  consider using a lower dose/percentage. All of side effects are assumed to go away soon after stopping to use it.

There are now newer, better, more effective medicines available that Minoxidil for hair regrowth.  I would recommend you search those out.  Note that Minoxidil also does not STOP your underlying cause of hair loss.

Minoxidil is a safe over-the-counter topical lotion/mouse with a low side effect profile.  The main issues that people experience are scalp irritation/itching and changes in the texture of the hair.  Potential side effects include possible low blood pressure.  Many experience shedding of hairs initially which is reversible and then reduced with long-term application.

The side effects are allargy and low blood pressure. Topical use is generally safe anmd systemic use in the form of a pill can solve many hair loss issues but the dose has to be carefully controlled
