I had bbl and fat transfer last week. When they put the needle in my handle for what i am assuming is anesthesia, it Had tingle and then loss of feeling followed by pain. Woke up from surgery, same thing, still hurt, could barley push myself up to my knees because my hand hurt so bad. The following days after surgery it moved up my arm, i couldn’t lay my head on my arm or hand. NOW! It’s still the same it’s in my hand my arm, goes down my leg, and foot. It’s very uncomfortable. Should i be worried

While loss of sensation and localized pain may be related to placement of IV line and anesthesia it should go away or improve few days after surgery. Position on the OR table during surgery can occasionally create temporary pain and loss of sensation in some areas of the upper extremity. If your problem with loss of sensation and weakness which now extends to lower extremity continues you may need to go to ER. Good luck.
