I’ developed a bruise on the side of my left breast at some point a little over two years ago. It’s stayed the same color and likely the same size - no noticeable changes. I asked my surgeon and they said it had to be from an accident but I haven’t had any trauma to the area. Is this okay or should I seek additional medical attention? No swelling, it’s a flat green shape
Answer: Bruise You did not post photos, but you could have had some red blood cell pigment deposited in that area when an actual bruise was present. Sometimes this happens with liposuction and trauma. If you develop more areas, please see your medical doctor.

Answer: Late hematoma. bruissing Most patients who developed brussing of the area where surgery was performed few months after surgery, there is usually a small trauma, so insignificant that patient does not rememeber. In some other situations it may be result of possible coagulation disorder, etc. It is unlikely that it has dirrect connection with your surgery. You should consult a laser institute to see whether they can treat skin discoloration of this kind. Hope this helps.

Answer: Hematoma/bruise Dear Cassandra3577, I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what went wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice. Answer: Breast bruise If your bruise appeared following a surgical procedure, within three weeks to a month, that would be related. A bruise, appearing without any memory of trauma might still be from trauma you cannot recall, or may be associated with coagulation or clotting issues. A sonogram or a GYN breast exam is certainly warranted. if it’s just a permanent bruise, you may consider having laser treatment help to alleviate the problem. Dr. Taranow.

Answer: "Bruise" of left breast x 2 years duration without history of previous trauma...post breast augmentation Hi and welcome to our forum!Trivial unrecalled traumatic episodes may have resulted in intracutaneous and subcutaneous bleeding. It may result in extravascular blood cells (escaped blood) to be deposited into the skin and soft tissue. It usually resorbs, but if significant, the iron in your red blood cells may be deposited into these tissues, causing permanent color alteration. If a breast implant resides close to the skin surface, there may be resulting thinning of the overlying skin. If there is a history of excessive bleeding, see your family physician. If concerned about the skin lesion, visit a dermatologist for evaluation and discussion. If your breast implant resides immediately below the skin surface, see your plastic surgeon.Best wishes...
