I am a female who had liposuction 4 years ago. Too much fat was taken out on both sides of my torso. I now look too narrow and tiny. Is there anything that can be done for me to gain fat back in that area?
Answer: Fat If carefully done, a fat transfer could be considered if you have donor fat available. Otherwise, Scupltra injections could be helpful to rebuild that area.

Answer: Fat transfer Dear helpmenowplease, it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: Correct and previous Liposuction Fat grafting may be an option but often areas previously treated with liposuction especially if the procedure was done with a heavy hand becomes technically difficult and very little fat tends to survive. The more fat that was left behind the more host tissue you have to support fat grafts. If almost all the fat was removed then you were left with virtually no tissue to support tissue graft and the majority of grafted fat will not survive. this makes doing what you asked for complex, difficult and may only have limited success. Often to get substantial changes requires doing multiple rounds of fat transfer typically 6 to 12 months apart. In the end many people decide it simply isn’t worth the amount of surgery and expense to go through. On top of this there has to be sources to harvest fat from and we need substantial amounts of fat for grafting because most of it doesn’t survive.Another thing to consider is that deliver in consistent quality liposuction and fat transfer results is more difficult than most people believe. If you end up with a provider who doesn’t have sufficient skill and experience you could end up with secondary problems and attempt to fix the first one.You didn’t include pictures so we can’t make an assessment. There’s no yes or no answer to your question. Some thing can always be done but the amount of potential change may be relatively small and whether this justifies having the surgery is another story.Consult with local highly experienced board-certified plastic surgeons who have a proven track record with both Liposuction and fat transfer.During consultations ask providers to open up their portfolios and show all or as many before and after pictures as they’re willing to. this is the best way to get a clear understanding of what average results look like and how much experience the provider actually has.I recommend to patients avoid virtual consultations whenever possible. It’s always better to meet your provider in person. This is especially true for a complex or unusual situation is like your own.Best,Mats Hagstrom MD

Answer: Can fat be grafted to torso? Hi and welcome to our forum!Without photos, it is impossible to provide precise information. In addition, height and weight information may be helpful in determining the amount of available fat you may have to harvest to the flanks from elsewhere. Fat can be transplanted into areas which have been previously used as a donor site. However, internal scarring may distort where the fat distributes after introduction. Visit a board certified plastic surgeon for in-person evaluation and discussion. Best wishes...
