I’m just a few months shy of my 2 year anniversary of my breast reduction/lift and I still have some pretty noticeable pleating/bunching around the areola. I’m assuming after this long that the results I have now are the final results. Is this normal or should I look into having a revision?

Answer: Breast reduction At two years post op these are your final results. If the shape of the areola is bothersome you can consider a revision. It is important to though weigh the risks and benefits of another procedure. Your board certified plastic surgeon can help you through this decision.

Answer: Would I benefit from a revision Hi. Excellent question. Yes you would benefit from a lift. This usually happens with patients that have lost a large amount of weight. Your areola is in a good position but a breast lift revision is necessary if you want to correct the pleating skin and your pseudo ptosis. This is when some breast tissue is bellow the breast fold but the areola is not below the fold. Best of luck, Dr. Miguel Mota
