Allergic Rhinitis impact on rhinoplasty?

Hi, I am considering a rhinoplasty in next 2-3 months. I am prone to allergic rhinitis and need to take an anti histamine now and then. Are there any precautions I need to start taking prior to the surgery. How close to surgery can I still take the antihistamines? Thanks

You may, however, wish to consume a low salt diet while you are recovering. Salt tends to cause swelling to appear worse. This diet, however, is not mandatory. Hope this helps! Dr Joseph
