Unfortunately, no one can provide you with definitive reassurance that any symptomatology well “disappear” after breast implant removal. Rarely, patients will present to our practice requesting breast implant removal, in the hopes that their "autoimmune symptoms” improve. Although I cannot provide these patients with any scientific evidence that the removal of the breast implants will improve their situation, these patients often choose to do so nevertheless ( for “peace of mind”). Best wishes for resolution of your symptoms.
First of all, there have been many studies looking at the possible relationship between autoimmune disease and breast implants. No such relationship was found. There is no increase in those illnesses in women who have breast implants when compared with age matched women who had no breast surgery. In the hypothetical situation that there were a causal relationship, it would be unknown as to whether any recovery would occur. Thanks for your question, best wishes.
The short answer to your question is no. There is no known relation of breast implants, intact or ruptured, and autoimmune diseases or symptoms. You should feel free to choose to have your breast implants removed because they were put in by your choice but removing them in order to relieve autoimmune symptoms is not realistic or a good reason to have them removed just as there are poor reasons and unrealistic expectations to have them put in. I would add that there is no evidence to suggest that removing the capsule around the implant would help either.

It looks like you had relatively large implants and just had them removed days before the photo. This is very early to assess the final result. Expect them to get better every day. It may take up to a year to get their best. There are several reason why they look like this. First of all,...
Ruptured silicone gel breast implants are not known to cause elevated white blood cell counts. A mammogram is a good idea for your burning breast pain, but an MRI is the best study for detecting a gel leak. After 29 years, your implants have probably leaked, but you should have the burning pain...
