8 months after full facelift, forehead, scalp, cheeks to ears and and band ear to ear jaw and neck, all very stiff and tight feeling. Does not seem to be lessening, please can you offer some advice. These sensations take an enormous amount of energy to cope with. I am 67 and cannot revisit the surgeon n

Thanks for the question. You can develop tight scarring and it might be that this is some thing that requires a period of massaging to help soften the scar tissue.Did you have any liposuction to the neck? If you could add pictures, I could give you a better answerBW

This sometimes occurs and the best thing that can help with this is gentle stretching of the soft tissues. This will resolve over time.

The tight sensation can take a long time to resolve in certain instances.  Most of the time tightness lasts a few weeks or months.  However, there are instances whereby the tightness lasts for more than a year.  Massage, ultrasound, steroid injections, are options for treatment depending on the particular circumstance.
