It’s been more then 2 month after my home micro-needling treatment. My skin look worse, so dull, more pigmentation and fine lines around the mouth. What should I do? What treatment should I do? I have very sensitive skin . Have I ruined my skin?
Answer: Microneedling Treatment While they do make home microneedling devices, this is not something that I would recommend. Using a medical-grade device in office under the supervision of a licensed esthetician is going to deliver much better results. I also recommend having a consultation to make sure that microneedling is actually the best treatment for you. You may be a better candidate for laser treatments. Due to your sensitive skin, I also recommend for you to be guided by a licensed esthetician or skin care professional as to what skin care products should be used for your skin type to maximize results.

Answer: Microneedling I would not recommend using a microneedling tool at home. The microneedling tools sold to licensed professionals are vastly different than those sold to anyone else. The needles used in a dermatologist’s office can penetrate the layer of the skin where scars develop and encourage more collagen production. Over the counter products don't have this depth and end up piercing the top layer of the skin, which does not have near as many benefits. Using needles in your own face is also very dangerous. I recommend seeing a dermatologist to discuss in-office treatments for your scars.

Answer: Ruined skin? Hi! Thank you for your question! I don't think that your skin would be ruined. I always recommend that you do a set of microneedling as the results build upon each other. While there are home options I find the best results come from a professional and I highly recommend radio frequency microneedling with platelet rich plasma for the best results. Find someone you trust and get a professional opinion.
