Our treatments use combination therapy to improve the epidermis and dermis for most deep scars. The options available for acne scars depend on the character of your scars, in terms of topography and contour. We see atrophic and hypertrophic acne scars, as well as scars that have hypo and hyperpigmentation. We begin each scar evaluation with an assessment of scar quality and subtype. Our main concern is rebuilding collagen and that is why we use a HIDEF protocol that includes combination therapy. Morpheus 8, scar subcision, fibrous release, fractional laser, CO2 laser, Thulium laser, PDL Vbeam laser, and fractional resurfacing can be used in addition to TCA Cross and chemical peels to further improve skin. Patients should start Melarase AM and Melarase PM for active hyperpigmentation. Always begin with a consultation to decide whether early subcision should be started. Best,

Well, it's a good question, but too soon to tell. Hopefully your doc asked you to keep your Asian skin out of the sun and put you on a tyrosinase inhibitor to prep you skin for about a month ahead of the treatment. Mother Nature likes to renew the pigment in skin of color...
Fractional CO2 laser is an excellent tool for skin rejuvenation in our center in Santa Monica. We use the fractional multi-depth ablative approach to help resurface the skin, recontour acne scars, improve incisional plastic surgery scars, and reduce surface irregularities from skin tone to dark...
In my opinion, you do not want scabs to form after a CO2 laser. We prefer to use PRP immediately after the treatment and follow this with a topical antibiotic ointment covered by a semi occlusive dressing. We will change the dressing on the second day, utilizing PRP again as well as the topical...
