I'm 4 months post eyebrow transplant. Some hairs are randomly growing in and some falling out. Is it normal?

Hi I'm 4 months post op from my eyebrow transplant, and they r starting to grow in now. However some grow in and stay and seem to fall out easily than grow back again. Seems to be all over the place. Is it normal for some of them to grow in fine and fall out then regrow back in? Is there several hair cycles before they r final and matured?

Hair transplant results may take 6 to 12 months to appreciate.  Sometimes the transplanted area can look WORSE after 3 to 4 months post-op as you may have local shock loss and new hairs just starting to grow in.In general, eyebrow transplants are technically standard (straight forward) for a hair transplant surgeon but it is cosmetically challenging even for the best doctors.  Even in the best circumstances, a natural looking eyebrow transplant is challenging when compared to a hair transplant surgery (to the scalp).  The direction and the angle of hair growth may be an issue.

What you are experiencing may be normal, as in the eyebrows most of the grafts are single-hair grafts. Also, because the recipient sites are made at a very sharp angle in relation to the skin, the bottom of the hair follicle may end up being located a little too superficially, and take longer to grow because of that.In a few more months this problem should resolve.

At 9 months what you are describing is unusual and not normally seen. I would go back to your surgeon and ask about your problem. He will examine you to see what might be causing this problem
