Thank you for your question. While it is possible, the same surgeon would not typically have the expertise to perform both at the same time. Always work with a board certified facial plastic surgeon.Best wishes,
Hello and thank you for your question regarding combining surgeries. You can combine these two surgeries since they focus on different surgical areas. However, you will have to find two separate surgeons — one to perform each procedure — since they involve two different specialties. You will need a board certified facial plastic surgeon to perform your browlift and a board certified maxillofacial surgeon to perform your double jaw surgery. If you can find two surgeons who can agree to work together, or one surgeon with experience performing both surgeries, you can combine them. Good luck!- Elbert T. Cheng, MD
Hello, Thank you so much for your question! This is an area I love to lecture on speak on: combining proceedures to optimize outcomes!! In short yes, there is no reason you can’t combiin these proceedures. The limitation you will find is surgical capabilities. Most double jaw surgeries are performed by Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons but only Select Maxillofacial surgeons will be doing cosmetic surgery like brow lift. Find a surgeon that does both and it should be feasible!!In trying to protect yourself and your investment I recommend the following: Meet your prospective surgeon, check out their facility, review their photo galleries either in the office or online and lastly if you feel the need speak to their prior patients. I always have patients willing to tell prospective patients about their experience in my care. I hope that helps and best wishes on your upcoming proceedures! Dr G
Hi Pinkipinku,It is definitely possible to do both jaw (underbite correction) and endoscopic browlift together, as they are not contraindicated to each other, however, as the other 2 doctors mentioned, these procedures are done by surgeons from different disciplines (one plastics/cosmetics, one oral maxillary surgeon), so if you can find these 2 surgeons who are willing to do the procedures together, then it can definitely be done.
Absolutely, I would be concerned. If a surgeon does not have admitting privileges at a hospital, I would run the other way. There are plenty of great surgeons in this country. Explore other options.
Thank you for your question. I suggest that you move forward and consult with a board certified facial plastic surgeon. Best wishes,
