Would a brow lift address heavy upper lids due to excess fat?

Thank you for your question. Some benefit is achieved with a brow lift, but you still may need a blepharoplasty as well on the upper eyelids. The browlift just lifts the fat, it doesn't remove it. I hope this helps!

Hi.  If your eyebrow position is currently low, and if your eyelids look significantly better when you raise the skin of your forehead with your hand to the proper position (without overdoing it), certainly you might just do the brow lift.However, if your brow position is normal, or close to it - then address the eyelid fat and excess eyelid skin.  This is the more commonly done procedure.Sometimes, both procedures are required.Only an in-person consultation can make this determination for you.

Brow position does not change dramatically as we age.  If your excess is in the upper lids then I would address the upper eyelid. If the excess is do to a low brow then I would address that. Those two procedures are commonly done together.
