Am I having a bad reaction to recommencing Accutane after a few weeks break? What is the cause of my bumpy/itchy skin texture?

I finished my first 5 month course of Accutane while on a trip, so had 3 weeks of no dosage before being able to recommence treatment. I did have the expected break out when initially starting treatment, but my skin at the end had become so smooth & repaired. In the last week since recommencing Accutane, my face’s skin texture has become horrible & bumpy/congested, with a mild chest rash. I look so different & have lost the confidence I gained. Would this be due to the medication? Thank you x

I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. For rosacea, I like a combination approach, using lasers (ProYellow, Pulsed Dye/Vbeam, Excel V), peels and botox to the cheeks. This makes dramatic changes in color and symptoms. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer
