and prosthesis. What should I expect for fit and gum healing? I don't have access to the dentist as she is overseas. The implant itself seems holding up and no infection and any issues, it's the gum that doesn't seem to close because there's a bit of hole that bone granules come out from time to time.The gum is so thin, will this be a problem when opened again? It was dehisced the first time and most granules failed.This is for missing front upper lateral incisor. Gum has receeded a bit.Thank u.

Usually the bone graft gets ossified after about 4 to 6 months. As 4 months are over in your case, waiting for another one to two months for complete ossification is advisable. Then you can go ahead with removal of implant cover and placement of implant post (abutment).

In order for the osseointegration process to be completed and for the prosthesis to be placed, one should generally wait for a period of time ranging from one month to three months, during this interval all the tissues intervened should have healed properly.
However, at present we have dental implants of immediate load, whose crown can be placed after 24-48 hours after surgery, to later be able to place the final prosthesis.
