My lips are incompetent so my teeth show at rest. My jaw is aligned perfectly so im no candidate for a vertical maxillary surgery. I I've been researching and ive read botox can work and help lengthen my top lip?

The smile line (lower vermilion level) can be lowered by either Botox injections or a surgical procedure. Internal V-Y mucosal advancements can be done to lengthen the upper lip at the smile line over the teeth.

By placing a couple units of Botox into the levator superioris labii alaeque nasi, the upper lip will not elevate as high. Some people don't like this change, but it will only last about 3 months if you don't. Also, filler in the lip will help cover the gums as well. The Botox injection is only for experts because this is not the typical placement for Botox.
