I had lip reduction surgery 3 weeks ago and too much tissue was removed. At rest I now have lip incompetence. Teeth show and lips don't meet. I have had considerable reduction in swelling already, and expect it to increase as the swelling reduces even more. My surgeon says it will resolve as swelling reduces but I don't see how that makes sense. My lips are going to get smaller than they currently are, so how can they close at rest when currently they don't. What are my options to fix this?
