You should meet with a doctor to determine the cause of your hair loss. Based on your symptoms of itchiness and baldness in the itchy areas, it sounds like you may have a form of scalp psoriasis or seborrheic dermatitis, which can cause hair loss if left untreated due to the irritation caused by scratching. You should meet with a doctor to rule this out. Specialized shampoos for dandruff reduction or scalp psoriasis can help ease symptoms of the condition.
While it may seem uncommon to lose hair at 19, many men experience early signs of hair loss in teenage-hood and their early 20’s. The best way to prevent continued and further hair loss is to proactively treat hair loss symptoms at the first sight of hair loss. Thanks for the question. It is important to see a hair loss specialist in your area for a complete history, physical examination, dermoscopy, hair check , lab, and possible scalp biopsy. Results will permit an accurate diagnosis, hence a short and longterm treatment program to address the thinning.

The most likely cause of your hair loss is Androgenetic Alopecia-loss due to genetic and hormonal factors.Other less common causes are thyroid disease,autoimmune disorder,medications,protein malnutrition and severe stress.The most important step for you is to establish a diagnosis-than appropriate treatment can be rendered.I would recommend a thorough evaluation by a Dermatologist or experienced Hair Restoration surgeon.

in my opinion, you need to be evaluated by a hair loss expert. They will do a good history, examination, and possibly blood work and biopsy. The most common diagnosis for your hair loss would be  male pattern loss. Other diagnosis need to be evaluated and ruled out.PRPHAIRMD.COM
