Using topical Finasteride 0.1% + Minoxidil 5 % for 2 years and still, hair density less at the crown?

Question

I have androgenetic alopecia, since 2 years using Finasteride 0.1+%Minoxidil 5 % topical and got improvement (85% came) but still at back crown head hair density (number of hairs) is less. What is next step i should do. Eg : should i use only Minoxidil 5% topical + Shampoo of (ketoconazole 2% and zinc pyrithione 1%) or ciclopirox Shampoo, clotrimazole Shampoo, miconazole Shampoo or what you suggest. I don’t want to go for PRP or hair transplant.

This needs an in-person evaluation. I  recommend getting a formal evaluation with a hair loss expert to go over your condition and advise you on best treatment options and shampoo recommendations. You'll want to sit down with your doctor and go over options carefully. There are several here including increasing finasteride topical dose, increasing minoxidil dose, switching to oral finasteride, adding laser. See your doctor to review what's best in your specific situation.

I have never heard of genetic hair loss in a 2 year old or any prepubertal male. Some people are born with less hair, is that what you have?
