I’m 33. History of smoking and alcoholism. So many years rough on my body but past 4 I’m hyper healthy, vegetarian yoga teacher. This also means I’ve lost weight...only about 10-15 pounds (and some collagen it seems) I understand my past will be appearing but I’m hoping to appear in my new life the way I feel on the inside! Not saggy in early 30s. What is the best way to go about about tackling this?
Answer: Bodytite Thank you for your question and picture, looks like you can benefit from bodytite to tighten the area, an in person consultation would be best for a detailed exam and evaluation.always see a board certified PS.

Answer: Reducing Crepey Arms Thank you for reaching out and providing your history along with photos of your arms. From what you've shared, I recommend starting with a conservative approach. Given your age and skin condition, more invasive treatments like an arm lift or reduction seem premature. Chemical peels, especially on the arms, pose certain risks such as uneven penetration and potential scarring, so I'd advise against them. Instead, consider laser treatments tailored for skin tightening. Depending on the extent of your skin's laxity, you might require two or three sessions to achieve optimal results. Another option worth exploring is J-plasma, which utilizes helium gas combined with radiofrequency to promote skin tightening. In essence, my recommendations would be to explore either laser treatments or J-plasma. Whichever route you choose, it's crucial to consult with a board-certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon who can assess your needs and guide you further. Best wishes in your journey to improved skin appearance! Sincerely, Dr. Katzen.

Answer: Loose creepy skin on arms in early 30s? What type of treatment is best? Laser? Peels? Hello dear, thanks for post. An arm lift is a surgical procedure that: Reduces excess sagging skin that droops downwardTightens and smooths the underlying supportive tissue that defines the shape of the upper armReduces localized pockets of fat in the upper arm regionFluctuations in weight, growing older, and heredity can cause your upper arms to have a drooping, sagging appearance. This is a condition that cannot be corrected through exercise. Arm lift surgery may be right for you if the underside of your upper arms are sagging or appear loose and full due to excess skin and fat. In general, arm lift candidates include: Adults with significant upper arm skin laxityAdults of any age whose weight is relatively stable and who are not significantly overweightHealthy individuals without medical conditions that impair healing or increase risk of surgeryNon-smokersIndividuals with a positive outlook and realistic expectations.... I recommend to make an appointment with a board certified plastic surgeon for a person evaluation and to talk about your goals. Good luck :)

Answer: Loose 'crepey' skin on arms? This is a difficult problem. Until recently, we've had no good solution for the lower arm. The upper arm has been treated with surgical tightening (brachioplasty) for a long time. Recently, more gentle laser treatments have shown some promise in tightening the skin in areas such as the forearm. There are several modalities that can induce what is known as 'bulk heating' of the soft tissues. This controlled warming can induce collagen formation leading to skin tightening. In my practice we utilize the Sciton Skintyte laser, but there are others as well. I would research experienced Plastic Surgeons in your local area, to see what is available.
