My main goal is to get rid of the creases in my upper arm. Will brachioplasty eliminate the banding/creasing?
Answer: Brachioplasty, Arm Reduction, Skinny Arm, Arm Lift Thank you for reaching out with your question about whether an arm lift, or brachioplasty, can address arm creases or banding, and for providing your history and pictures. Yes, an arm lift or brachioplasty is indeed capable of eliminating or significantly reducing arm creases or banding. Current understanding suggests that these arm creases are often congenital in nature. It might be insightful to examine your baby pictures to see if these arm bands were present when you were an infant. Regardless of their origin, arm bands can be effectively resected during a brachioplasty procedure. The surgical approach to removing these bands may vary. They can be addressed directly or through techniques like a V to Y advancement flap or Z-plasty. Arm banding is actually more common than many people realize. A closer look at infants, whether in person or in photos, often reveals the presence of these arm bands in many babies. I hope this information has clarified your query regarding the effectiveness of an arm lift or brachioplasty in treating arm creases or banding. Wishing you the best of luck with your decision and potential procedure.

Answer: Would brachioplasty fix arm creases/banding? Scheduled for a brachioplasty in about two months. Thank you for the question and pictures. The arm lifting surgery is an excellent operation to treat excess skin/adipose tissue of the upper arms. However, I do not think it will eliminate the "creases" that you have concerns about. Best to address your concerns/goals/questions directly with your plastic surgeon. It will be important that you and your plastic surgeon be on the same page when it comes to achieving an outcome that you will be pleased with.Best wishes.

Answer: Would brachioplasty fix arm creases/banding? Thank you for your question. As a brachioplasty is designed to remove excess skin and fat in the upper arm, I believe that you will be happy with your results. However, your surgeon knows your needs and specific case better than anyone, so if you have questions or concerns, I recommend that you talk to them to ensure that you will be getting the results you desire from your surgery.

Answer: Would brachioplasty fix arm creases/banding? Scheduled for a brachioplasty in about two months Hello dear! Thanks for the question and provided information. Based on your photos you are a good candidate for a full arm lift surgery. An arm lift is a surgical procedure that: Reduces excess sagging skin that droops downwardTightens and smooths the underlying supportive tissue that defines the shape of the upper armReduces localized pockets of fat in the upper arm regionFluctuations in weight, growing older, and heredity can cause your upper arms to have a drooping, sagging appearance. This is a condition that cannot be corrected through exercise. Arm lift surgery may be right for you if the underside of your upper arms are sagging or appear loose and full due to excess skin and fat. In general, arm lift candidates include: Adults with significant upper arm skin laxityAdults of any age whose weight is relatively stable and who are not significantly overweightHealthy individuals without medical conditions that impair healing or increase risk of surgeryNon-smokersIndividuals with a positive outlook and realistic expectations... I recommend to make an appointment with a board certified plastic surgeon for a person evaluation and to talk about your goals. Good luck
