Is there an over-the-counter equivelant to Retin-A Micro .04%?

Question

I currently use Retin-A Micro, but it's very pricey and not covered by prescription drug insurance. I would like to substitute what I am using with an over-the-counter product, but want to maintain the same or a similar level of effectiveness. I know that I can get a 1% Retinol product. How does this compare to the .04% Retin-A I am currently using? Thank you!

Thank you for your post.I recommend the use of RR Retinoid Repair cream from Kare Skin. It is great for daily use.

A prescription tube of .04% Retin-A Micro may be expensive, but it also works better and should last you about a year. Going to an OTC product with a 1% Retinol will be less effective AND you're going to have to buy it several times a year because the packaging is much smaller. Meaning you actually may spend more than you would on a single prescription..... "This
