Hi - I am 5'10, approx 160lbs, athletic. Currently wear 36B, but that is only bc of the size of my chest wall (13cm diameter), but the volume is less than a A cup, very little breast tissue. Should I get 320cc (3.4 projection, 13cm) OR 340cc (3.5 projection, 13.25cm), both silicone, low plus profile, under the muscle. By specifications these are close to each other, but I am still worried to be too big. I would like a max of a C cup, natural look. Thoughts? Thank you!

Answer: 20cc difference in implant size Thanks for your question. As others have mentioned, a 20cc difference is no difference at all. I'm by no means advocating this but you could put a 320cc implant on one side and a 340cc implant on the other side and you would not be able to tell the difference (assuming your breasts were starting out the same size). Do not let this decision over a 20cc difference stress you out. Best of luck to you on your upcoming decision and surgery.

Answer: 20 cc is hard to visualize As other surgeons have already noted, 20 cc is typically barely visible and won't make an adjustment in overall bra size. I prefer to keep implants no wider than the current breast diameter and perhaps that can help you make your decision. The complaint of 'feeling my breast in my arm pit' is less when you select an implant within the confines of the current breast. Also, there may be less tension placed on the skin and breast tissues if you stay with an implant that respects that current breast width. Overall, these are very similar volumes. Good luck to you!
