I have a scheduled BA in 2 days and developed a cough will surgeon postpone surgery? What can I do to get rid of cough?
Answer: Consider postpone surgery If your cough is due to bacterial infection, you should not have breast augmentation. You do not want to risk bacteria infecting the implants. Also, coughing post op will be uncomfortable and could increase bruising.Better to postpone until cough gone- discuss with your plastic surgeon.

Answer: Tell your surgeon asap It’s best to inform your surgeon about your cough so that they can decide on what to do. Your surgery may need to be rescheduled if it’s safer for you.

If you are unsure about the state of your health and how this may affect your procedure, it is important to let your doctor know beforehand. If they determine that you are in good enough health to proceed, then the surgery will move forward as planned. If they decide to postpone your surgery while you recover from a cold or flu, keep in mind they are doing this ultimately for your safety. Answer: Can go through my cosmetic surgery if I have a caugh? Any form of cosmetic surgery is totally elective and safety is the number one concern. I have cancelled cases even the morning of surgery with the patient already in the hospital if they had a caugh that was new and not a chronic condition. You are better be safe than sorry.
