Can I use IPL hair removal handheld device over moles? (Photo)

Thanks for your question, but you will be better off saving your money.  Real LHR devices can be extremely dangerous in the wrong hands, but need the power to be effective.  Since no one is home supervising you, home use devices have only a fraction of the power of medical grade lasers.  What is stopping you from using the "device" every day?  If it was doing anything, you would need to wear eye protection.  If you are blindfolded, how would you aim it?Save your money.  Do some research on your local professionals.  Find out who has the best equipment and experience.  Get on their e-mail list and watch for LHR specials.  We regularly package multiple LHR areas together at significant savings.

You can definitely have the IPL laser over the mole that you have an it should not effect or change the mole in a negative way. Please make sure that you consult a board certified dermatologist for your user hair removal since IPL laser is not the best laser hair removal. We avoid using our IPL device over any moles.  This is because IPL targets colour to treat brown and red pigments in the skin. Your mole has a concentrated amount of brown colour and you run the risk if you use this device, of targeting the mole, which will absorb the light into it and may result in a superficial burn. There is no evidence that IPL cannot cause melanoma or turn a benign mole into a cancerous one, but ideally you should seek the advice of a dermatologist to assess the mole first and discus your proposed IPL treatment in more detail before you commence using it.
