Is this ingrown hair or folliculitis? (Photos)

Question

I just had my first brazillian laser removal. After 3 weeks this bumps grew. Like i have 5 of it.It lools like a pimple. At first it is painful and then goes away and the bump would just stay. There is no hair on the bumps. I want to know if it is something i should be worried about. I never had this before. And the my mons pubis gets itchy sometimes.

Your problem stretches across a few issues. Hidradenitis, ingrown hairs, laser hair removal, and discoloration. I would suggest Melapads daily followed by laser therapy for the ingrown hairs and discoloration. Best, Dr. KaramanoukianRealself100 Surgeon

From your picture it appears that your skin and dark hair are reflective of an ethnicity with at least slightly curly and coarse hair.  The curl prevents the hair from growing straight out of the follicle when it is trying to regrow after it is shaving, or in this case waxing. The newly grown hair burrows under the skin and causes a "shaving bump" or "folliculitis".  The hair is not ON the bump but is WITHIN the bump. These can be resolved with a laser treatment of appropriate wavelength.  Prevention of future occurrences will be not to remove the hair so close.
