Why are there so many patients with burned skin from their BBL? Is this normal?

Why are there so many patients with burned skin to the point the skin looks as if they have received third degree burns. Is this normal? What happens when you receive burns that bad.

The burns occur when a thermal source is used.  Conventional tumescent liposuction does not utilize an energy source, so the burns will not be present.  Find
 a BBL expert who
 performs hundreds of BBLs each year and has great reviews and great

Hello, thank you for your question. There are two types of lesions I've seen in liposuction patients, one is, as Dr. Hughes put it, derived when an energy source is used, like laser and ultrasound assisted liposuction. Another is derived from extremely aggressive liposuction that cuts blood supply to the skin, producing  color changes in the skin turning it dark and dull, with hardening of the skin (it kind of tends to feel like leather a bit. The first one is a complication and a risk when getting laser or ultrasound assisted liposuction, but the latter is a complication of inadequately performing liposuction. A well performed liposuction should not have any lumps nor holes, so evaluate your alternatives carefully before choosing a surgeon. Hope to have been of some help. Good luck

I do not understand the association of "burned skin" and bbl. Are you referring to skin injury by liposuction or by the fat injection. If you are interested in the procedure, see a qualified BC plastic surgeon, who has a good reputation. Uou should be be able to get this procedure with good results and a low complication rate.
