Hi... thank you for the question, After a BBL procedure, fat integrates and become part of your body like the rest of the fat tissue, if you loose weight it shrinks, if you gain weight the go larger.
After a Brazilian Butt Lift, if you lose weight your butt will get smaller and if you gain weight it will get bigger. The easy solution in your case is to gain weight. Good luck!
Thank you for your question. After a BBL, your butt will respond like any other part of your body. If you lose weight, it will get smaller and if you gain weight, it will get bigger. Usually it takes 3- 6 months after a BBL to see the final size and shape. I find that some patients like the initial size when it is still swollen. that will usually require a second procedure to add more fat. there are limits on how much fat you can put in because the skin will only stretch so much. After 6 months and the swelling is gone and the skin has relaxed, you can add more fat if desired.
Fat transfer as part of a BBL is dynamic, meaning that the size of your butt will increase or decrease as you gain and lose weight. To maintain the size of the butt you had in the first few months after surgery, you need to maintain the weight you had at the time of surgery. Thus, your best bet is to gain weight and see how the butt responds. In some patients, this is all you need. In others, who want an even larger size, repeat BBL is needed.Hope this helps - all the best, Sam Jejurikar, MD
If you know you want/need to lose weight, you should do so prior to having surgery. Losing significant weight or fluctuating up/down after surgery can compromise your result and investment. The only way to remedy loss of volume in your buttocks would be to have another BBL.
You are correct, that since the fat transferred in a BBL is alive and dynamic, if you gain or loss weight this may affect the size of the butt after a BBL. Therefore, if you are planning to loss weight, I would suggest you do this before your BBL procedure. If you have already had a BBL and loss some weight that has compromised your results it is possible to have further fat transferred to the butt, if you have it to donate. Best wishes, Dr. Lepore.
At 7 days post op, I don't see why you wouldn't be allowed to have an iced coffee with caramel and sugar. Check with your surgeon, but I'll bet if you offer them one too, they'll say "yes"! Best wishes, Dr. Lepore.
Hello dear! Thanks for the question and provided information as well. Based on your pictures, you are a great candidate for liposuction with BBL, and I think you'll get very good results. To determine the right amount of CC's to transfer in a BBL, an in-person consultation is in order, because...
Hi and welcome to our forum! There is an increased infection risk if a Brazilian butt lift is performed over previous hydrogel injections. Most surgeons are unwilling to take this risk. Infection of injected material can lead to significant chronic problems. Best...
