Hi, I’m getting the BBL procedure. I’ve had back pains from a car accident, and was prescribed Percocet, do I need to stop taking them before surgery ?? It’s scheduled for June 15

I recommend that my patients STOP all sources of Aspirin or other Pain medicine or Cold Preparations 10 days before surgery. This will need to be coordinated among your PS, anesthesiologist and the physician who is prescribing the Percocet.   Hydrocodone, Percocet, or Tylenol #3 AFTER a BBL is fairly standard.  Kenneth Hughes, MD, Board Certified Plastic Surgeon Los Angeles, CA

hello thank you for your question and provided information as well..Based on your question it is recommended to suspend all supplements, vitamins medications (depending) 10 days before the surgery.but my recommendation is that you consult your primary doctor first regarding your case.
