I have a diameter of 12 and picked 240cc ideal implant with a diameter of 10.2-10.3. Should I go with a 270cc ideal implant with a diameter of 10.6-10.7? I'm 5'7, petite in frame, and don't completely fill out my 32A bra. Thanks for your input!

Answer: Implant less than BWD It is never wrong to use an implant that has a base width less than the width of your breast as long as you are happy with the size. The base width of the breast limits the size that you can increase to without looking unnatural- so with a sizing appointment we typically use the base width of your existing breast to determine the largest implant that you could use that would still look natural. It is always fine to choose a smaller implant, if you are happy with the size. Good luck and I hope this helps!

Answer: Breast Width and Implant Size Thank you for your question. Typically, I advise patients to choose the volume that they desire and are happy with. A wider implant is not necessary to give you the look you are looking for. Be sure to discuss these questions with your plastic surgeon. Good luck with your upcoming procedure.
