Will my body spitting out sutures affect my outcome? (Photo)

Thank you for your question. Spitting sutures is very common in the healing process and should have no impact on your recovery process. Your skin integrity does not seem to be compromised and you should have no problem with wound healing based on what I can see. Than you for sharing your question and photographs and congratulations on your tummy tuck.  Based on your pictures it appears that the areas of spitting sutures are quite small and should go on to heal uneventfully given local wound care and time.  As they are small they should not cause a material impact to your aesthetic outcome but a surgical scar revision can be done in the future to improve their appearance, if needed.  Hope this helps.

Thank you for your question.Everyone heals differently and there is no way to know if your skin will absorb or reject the sutures. The incision may heal up just fine in those areas. The areas where the sutures are removed may become red or raised as it continues to heal. There is no way to determine your outcome at this point. Continue to follow the instructions from your surgeon and see what happens. If the scar does widen, there are many options available to help improve that.
