I have a cross bite and some crowding but overall my teeth are in great health. I'd like to avoid jaw surgery or 2 years in braces as I am in a public profession. Could I still be a candidate for no prep veneers in my top teeth to fill gaps and help my bite?
Answer: Am I a candidate for no prep veneers or lumineers? It is best you do Orthodontics. Lumineers or no prep veneers can help your bite, a little bit, and I do not recommend you only do it for your upper teeth, you must include the lower teeth, due to large open bite space.Of course a complete evaluation with a good cosmetic dentist and a bite analysis is required and it is a must.Just looking at your pictures a combination of no prep veneers lumineers, and thin veneers is a better choice, than just no prep veneers, to improve your bite and occlusion, but again the best is orthodontics.

Answer: Better options than prepless #veneers #DrSoftTouch Hello there,While prepless veneers are sometimes a great option for patients, they are typically only used to conceal minor imperfections or discolorations in teeth. However, when things like tooth lengthening or space closing needs to be done, porcelain veneers and crowns are often times a better option. Consult a cosmetic dentist to determine your options, and always look at before and after photos when selecting your dentist. The best indicator to determine if the dentist is going to give you the results that he/she claims, is by viewing before and after photos of his/her patients that have undergone similar or the same procedures. Good luck and I hope this helps. Follow me if you have more questions.Sarah Thompson, DMDSt. Louis, MO area (O'Fallon, IL)Real Self 100

Answer: You have beautiful teeth that just need to be moved I do not recommend even conservative, no prep veneers in your situation. You have lovely, natural teeth with beautiful form shape and color already. If you do veneers without first treating your cross-bite, you will break your veneers. This will not make you very happy. I have treated patients like you with Invisalign in about 1 year. With new techniques I am trained in, I can now treat a case like yours and about half of that time. You will have a beautiful smile by just doing Invisalign and whitening. I am conservative, and I love to give patients the sensational smile they desire at the least expense to them. Invisalign is barely noticeable, and you can remove the aligners for short periods of time if you find yourself in the limelight. While I am highly trained clinically and have a great deal of artistic ability, I can never make your teeth more perfect than what God gave you by placing veneers. Invisalign will cost approximately $6,000 while Veneers will be anywhere from 9,000 to possibly 15,000 depending on the number of teeth you treat. Please consider investing the little bit of time to do orthodontic treatment which will give you the most stable, most healthy smile with the least expense to you.Douglas Jopling, DDS Dallas, Texas area
