Because there is little known about the safety of certain aesthetic treatments during pregnancy, it is generally recommended to wait until after pregnancy and breastfeeding before receiving treatment. In our practice we primarily follow the FDA's recommendations for treatments and unfortunately since most products and treatments have not been thoroughly tested on pregnant or lactating women, we will not offer them until the woman has completed breastfeeding.
