Hyaluronidase - does HA regenerate?

When getting HA filler dissolved, hyaluronidase can obviously spread to areas without filler and dissolve native hyaluronic acid, even when used in small amounts. Some doctors say the native HA regenerates and others say it must be done very carefully because it "destroys" native hyaluronic acid, a warning which leads me to believe this destruction is permanent. I'm a year out and still waiting for my cheek HA to regenerate after dissolving tear trough filler. Is it hopeless at this point?
