Hello, I‘m 24 years old and have always been bothered by my chubby cheeks. I had one treatment of Kybella, targeting my jowls and the nasolabial area but I feel like that didn't do much. I was thinking of getting a thread lift to pull my cheek area up. What kind of non surgical treatments to slim my face/cheek area would you recommend? What other filler/Botox could I possibly get to enhance facial symmetry and overall attractiveness?
Answer: Treatment options to slim the lower face I would not recommend a thread lift at your age. Your photos do not show any sign of skin sagging or jowl formation. Instead, I might suggest buccal fat pad removal. This procedure removes the small pocket of fat from inside the cheek to create a slimmer lower face. Buccal fat pad removal is performed with local anesthesia and incisions inside the mouth. Recovery is typically just a few days. Another option might be Botox injections to the masseter (chewing) muscle. People who clench or grind their teeth sometimes find the activity enlarges this muscle. Botox reduces muscle activity, reducing the size of the masseter and slimming the jawline in the process. If you have symptoms of clenching or grinding (sore jaw, headaches, tooth damage), this treatment will likely reduce those symptoms as well. I encourage you to schedule a consultation with an experienced, board-certified facial plastic surgeon who can assess you in person and tailor a treatment plan to your precise needs and goals.
