Unfortunately there is no way to tell why your eyes are asymmetric if there is true proptosis based on the limited pictures and history you've posted.I also don't know what the background of your doctor is. There is a possibility of pseudotumor Occuli which should be evaluated by a board certified occuloplastic surgeon.

Hi coolforyou,Thanks for your question and photos. Im sorry to hear that you're having trouble getting to the bottom of your issue. Proptosis (or bulging of the eyes) can have many causes. Normal thyroid levels does not necessarily rule out thyroid eye disease and this often presents with asymmetric or unilateral proptosis. An MRI scan may not show tumors or swollen eye muscles but expansion of the orbital fat compartments, associated with a type of thyroid eye disease, can be a subtle finding on MRI yet still cause proptosis. In addition, it is possible that you simply have mild asymmetry of your underlying bony structure.
