Bromelain prior to eye surgery?

I will be having upper and lower eye surgery in Korea next week. I am reading here about the benefits or arnica and bromelain. Currently I am only able to access Bromelain tablets (Kotase, 40 mg bromelain with Trypsin 1 mg). I read that bromelain can reduce post surgery swelling and bruising, yet may promote some degree of blood thinning. So my question, should I take this medication? What dosage (mg and times per day) and how many days pre and post surgery. Thanks for your help

As for dosing you should simply follow the directions on the bottle.  There's really no standard dosing.  Eat plenty of fruits and veggies.  Avoid alcohol and salty foods.  Ask your surgeon.  Use Arnica for about 3-5 days prior and at least one week after surgery.Thats about it really.Chase Lay MDAsian eyelid surgery specialist

I would highly recommend consulting with your performing plastic surgeon on the supplements you should take before and after your surgery to ensure you are taking the appropriate safety measures for your procedure. See attached link for more information.
