I will be having upper and lower eye surgery in Korea next week. I am reading here about the benefits or arnica and bromelain. Currently I am only able to access Bromelain tablets (Kotase, 40 mg bromelain with Trypsin 1 mg). I read that bromelain can reduce post surgery swelling and bruising, yet may promote some degree of blood thinning. So my question, should I take this medication? What dosage (mg and times per day) and how many days pre and post surgery. Thanks for your help

Answer: Ask your surgeon and follow instructions for Arnica and Bromelain
Thank you for your question. You submitted a single photo and state you underwent Asian upper eyelid surgery about 4 weeks earlier, and are worried about an additional crease or fold pointing towards your nose, so you want to know if this is normal.
I can share with you my perspective about ...
It is still too early to comment on how your eyelids will look once they heal. Looking at the picture it seems like your surgeon did a fine job but we cannot comment for sure till you are at least 3 months post surgery.
Give it more time. I see the asymmetry in the healing process but it is very slight. Just be patient. Follow up close with yours surgeon and maybe consider a little massage on the more swollen side. Just be patient. You look pretty good.Chase Lay MDAsian eyelid surgery specialist
