J4K1. Sorry you’re having such discomfort, and symptoms you describe are extremely rare this far out after Tummytuck surgery. I recommend that you consult with your plastic surgeon and explore your options. The plication may not be causing your discomfort. Sutures can be removed, but it means another operation, and Relief of your discomfort cannot be guaranteed. Best of Luck!
There may be many reasons for your discomfort, that removing the sutures may not solve. It would be best to return back to your original surgeon to be examined & discuss possible causes. But yes, in general the permanent (if used) sutures can be removed. I use absorbable sutures, so particularly in very slim patients, so the knots can't be felt.
Congratulations on your recent surgery and thank you for sharing your question about your post operative recovery and results after your surgery. Final results can take 6-12 months for all the swelling to subside. At our office we actually see all of our surgery patients the very next day after surgery and then again at two weeks and beyond. We enjoy staying closely connected to our patients and enjoy giving the extra attention and service. Your concerns are important to discuss directly with your board certified plastic surgeon. He or she will appreciate the open communication and will want to help you. I hope this is helpful and wish you all the very best. Sincerely, Brian S. Coan, MD, FACS

This can cause pressure on the intestinal structures and organs and be very uncomfortable. Consider a weight loss regimen before doing surgery if this is the case. By all means, see your surgeon for help.
The plications sutures may or may not be easily removed, and this would require surgery. They also may or may not be causing your issues.
Laser and scars cream or bleaching creams may lighten the scar, however, as you indicated and as shown in your photo, the scar is also wide. The only treatment for this is a scar revision where the scar is removed and the skin sewn close. I recommend scar revision as the best treatment for yo...
First and foremost, I recommend that you go to a board-certified plastic surgeon to have all these areas evaluated. Generally, as an outpatient surgery, we want to limit our surgeries to 5-6 hours maximum time, and all the procedures you had mentioned would take more than that amount of time. I...
