Yes, you can get laser hair removal. Laser hair removal has proven to be very successful for reducing and sometimes eliminating ingrown hairs. Diode, alexandrite and yag lasers work best for hair removal. I typically have patients do every 4 weeks for the first 3 times and then every 4-6 weeks for 3 times after. It will take a series of treatments and some people need treatments to maintain. See an expert in laser hair removal for best results. Best, Dr. Emer
Your antibiotic will not interfere with laser hair removal (LHR). Some antibiotics that cause photosensitivity should be discontinued for a few days before LHR, although this concern remains theoretical. Laser hair removal accounts for the majority of laser related malpractice cases with thermal burns and scars being the most common complication. Pimple breakouts can occur after laser hair removal treatment but typically only after the first 2-3 treatments as the hair is still at its darkest and thickest. I'd recommend exfoliating your skin to encourage the hair to fall off more quickly and help to prevent...
You should be seeing your doctor regularly for management. Hopefully he/she is a cosmetic dermatologist familiar with lasers and their side effects. This will get better- but you will need more than ICE balm.
