I see so many reviews of Rhinoplasty here but not enough on his Facelifts and I think they deserve more attention. I am not brave enough to put my face on his instagram but will happily share my story and photos here. I will do a day by day for the first week and then just some random follow ups along the way. I met a few surgeons before choosing to move forward with Dr. Kassir and I can say I was instantly comfortable with him, he is personable, intelligent and I had no doubt that I was in good hands with him. I am not new to plastic surgery and I have done a few things to my face that would make a facelift not so easy peasy so I wanted someone with the right skills that I could trust to do the job exceptionally well. I felt that out of all of the surgeons I met he was the most prepared to help me with a complicated facelift. I also want a revision lip lift, but that will have to wait for another day and will be another story. Surgery Day - Fell Asleep before I even knew they were putting me under, did not wake up nauseous (which I hate) I had a bit of apple sauce and I was on my way home to rest for the rest of the day. Day 1- I did not get any sleep on my first night, I tried but it was near impossible to get comfortable sleeping upright, I just kind of floated in out of consciousness. I did buy a pillow wedge to sleep on for this procedure, I added pillows on top of the wedge for comfort and it helped me to stay upright. Will use this for the first 2 weeks. Day 2- I did go to have my head dressing removed today and was able to see the stitches around my ears, I was so worried about having any scars but he did such a fantastic job the stitches are well hidden and imperceptible! Chewing food is a bit hard, I ate egg omelets each day for breakfast, lots of yogurt, rice pudding, veggies, beans, etc. Things that are soft to chew and I was able to get a full night sleep on day night 2. Day 3- I am feeling a lot more energetic and I had the urge to really move about the house. Today I made my own breakfast and some cornbread for the house. Aside from the swelling and soreness I was feeling pretty good. Day 4- I felt a lot more energetic and really had the urge to move around more. I am getting used to the wedge pillow and sleeping fine with it. I washed my hair today and used Johnson & Johnson baby soap to wash my hair. I did not rub my scalp or on the stitches of course , it is not a through clean but it feels amazing to get some of the oil out of my hair. Day 5 - Still feeling good. Soreness around the neck and tight all over but no pain. You can see from the pics one side of my face is more swollen than the other but overall everything looks good so far.
Dr. Kassir is an excellent doctor! His professionalism, skill, precision, bedside manner are remarkable! He truly has hands of gold and a vision of a true artist! I also want to mention how he uplifts the patient and embraces patient’s self esteem! His office staff are professional, friendly and very supportive! The entire rhinoplasty journey was a wonderful experience!
Read before booking!! Photos included!! This was the Worst Decision of my life & will forever haunt me. Do not trust his Instagram pictures , barely any of them show the front profile/ 90% of them have filters on!!! I’ve saved up for this rhinoplasty since high school! I had a tiny bump and a bulbous tip, all I wanted was a thinner cuter nose. Can you imagine saving up for years and years just to end up with a worse nose !! When I tell you Dr.Kassir ruined my life & led me down a path of depression & has absolutely no remorse for making my nose look 1000x worse then it was before, 11.5 months later and my nose has absolutely no structure, 2 completely different nostril shapes and a wider bridge and lifted up so much I look piggy. I look absolutely disgusting! It is 3x bigger then my old nose. I can’t even look in a mirror ! I have not told one person I had a rhinoplasty because of how embarrassed I am of the result and feel like I look like Shrek. The worst my part is I’ve contacted the office multiple times and even sent in my pictures with a message saying how sad and depressed I am and how it is affecting my every day life, and I have not heard back from anyone from the office! I can’t help but feel that once you give him your money your happiness and well being means absolutely nothing to Dr.kassir ! This has been the worst mistake of my absolutely life and will forever be haunted by Choosing him for my rhinoplasty. I feel like I will never be beautiful again! I wish I had my old nose back. I’ve stop posting on social media accounts because of how ugly I feel & if I do post a picture I Facetune my nose . He ruined my whole life. I’m so disgusted and disappointed by the lack of concern of a patient well-being! I payed $20,000 to get a bigger potato & piggy nose ! I just booked A revision appointment in March with a different doctor to fix his mistakes!
FIRST AND LAST RHINOPLASTY BECAUSE OF THIS AMAZING SURGEON!!! ... So let me start off by telling you that I have been unhappy with my nose since I was 12 years old. As unusual as that may sound, I have been hit in the face in softball a few times when I was younger, and have had a deviated septum for as long as I can remember. I have always had this insecurity because of the deviation. My nose was noticeably crooked (well maybe in my eyes) but it really was obvious! I would constantly ask people to not take or post photos of me because I HATED the way I looked in them because I felt my side profile just did not look attractive being that it was long with a bump on the bridge. I would look at myself in the mirror and constantly push my nose straight with my fingers to see how it feels to actually breathe through the left side of my nose. I would even take a bobby pin and push it straight to see how I would actually look. This was always a struggle of mine.I would need to take pictures ONLY from my left side in group photos and in selfies but if they were close up I was never EVER happy with them. People would always say “You’re crazy”, “You don’t need a nose surgery” and “You’re pretty just the way you are”. While I sincerely appreciated their kind words, I also ignored them because I wasn’t wanting this surgery to please anyone but myself. My breathing problem was a confirmation that there was a legit problem with my nose! Coincidentally, in 2015, I first heard of Dr. Kassir from a girl I spoke to who I worked with and her nose was so petite and asymmetrical. It was (in my eyes) a perfect nose. Before remembering Dr. Kassir’s name from that girl, I had recently researched other surgeons and was considering Dr. Ghavami in California, who is also an amazing surgeon. The differences were that: #1. I’m in NJ, so It was a TRIP and would not be ideal for a person like me (with kids) to spend atleast two weeks that far away. #2. I have looked at reviews/posts by people who went in for surgery with Dr. Ghavami and although the end result was amazing (Just like Dr. Kassir) they went through ALOT of pain and some even had blood inside their eyes, which I’m sure is a normal side effect among most rhinoplasty surgeries, but it freaked me out! ... So one day, as I was trying to think of a closer surgeon once COVID hit and I wasn’t even thinking to enter California at its highest peak, I THANKFULLY remembered Dr. Kassir’s name out of the blue. It must’ve been God-sent! I would’ve NEVER expected my nose to turn out this good and with NO PAIN, minimal-no swelling/bruising and with NO pain medications! THIS SURGEON HAS EXCEEDED MY EXPECTATIONS in more ways than one! To start; from his staff inside the office to the staff inside the operatory; every single person was so kind and had things running so organized which made this entire process so smooth and easy. They’ve shown genuine concern to any questions I’ve had and responded very quickly to any emails or calls I had left for them or the Doctor. I went to both the Ridgewood location and New York City location for my appointments and both locations are extremely clean. The anesthesiologist told me she has over 20 years experience while prepping me for surgery which made me feel confident that I’ve made the right choice in addition to the surgeon hisself. The nurse who put the IV in was gentle I didn’t even feel a pinch. As for Dr. Kassir, himself, he is a truly AMAZING surgeon! I am so incredibly thankful I had remembered him because he is a genuinely great person, has a great personality and treats patients as a person and not just a dollar sign. Although his office gets very busy, he NEVER rushed me through questions, he took his time to answer every question I had and engaged in conversation. So between that and the fact that he has changed so many lives (INCLUDING MY OWN!) with his painless, scarless, closed rhinoplasty technique... he deserves every penny because this surgery will last me a lifetime THANKS TO HIM!! Since I was 12-13 years old, the thought of changing my nose was always in the back of my mind. I knew one day when I got old enough, that I would finally get the chance to make my dream a reality. Being 25 years old today, this dream became a reality with Dr. Kassir. I knew that undergoing a serious procedure such as a rhinoplasty needed to be done by the best of the best, and that best was Dr. Kassir. From the get-go, Dr. Kassir and his team made me feel so comfortable and took care of me every step of the way. Seeing my results today left me in complete awe and gave me such peace knowing I picked the right surgeon. Aside from aesthetic reasons, I am also able to breathe so much better and this is of course all due to Dr. Kassir's amazing talent. Thank you so much Dr. Kassir and your amazing team! I had followed Dr. Kassir for awhile on Instagram. I was in love with all his photos of rhinoplasties because they looked so great compared to other doctors I had looked into. I finally got the nerve to go through with the procedure. I have always hated my nose because it was extremely wide. I met with Dr. Kassir right before I was going into surgery and told him what I wanted. I could not be happier. When I took off my cast I cried. It looks like the better version of me. It looks natural and I did not know that he could actually make my nose look like my nose but the pretty version. He is truly an artist like everyone says. I would urge anyone considering a nose job to definitely seek him out. I am more than thrilled with my result!
Personally and professionally, Dr. Kassir is simply the best and I could not be happier with my results. I had liquid rhinoplasty with Dr. Kassir in January and was equally as pleased. He is so kind which puts you immediately at ease but, more importantly, he understands what aesthetic you are trying to achieve. As for the procedure itself, the only pain was the numbing medicine and it felt like getting novocaine at the dentist. After that, I didn’t feel a thing. I just had the stitches out and will post another picture soon. I believe he took 5 mm off my philtrum, so the space between my nose and lip is significantly shorter.
I guess I'll start this review off by saying a rhinoplasty is something that's been on the back of my mind since high school (so for almost 20 years), but never something I had seriously considered until very recently. I'll be the first to admit- my pre-op nose was honestly NOT THAT BAD, which is probably why I waited so long to look into surgery. My nose didn't give me anxiety, and didn't make me super self conscious in my day to day life, so realistically it was something I could have easily lived with and been fine about. My pre-op profile was absolutely fine, I'm lucky in that I had no humps or bumps to worry about, no visual crookedness, etc. The only things that bothered me a bit was fullness at my tip from straight on, as well as wide-ish nostrils and a slightly droopy tip when smiling. I started following Dr. Kassir on instagram a while back, and was always impressed with what I saw... even for patients that had subtle changes done. Anyways - on why I finally inquired with Dr. Kassir. So, I'm a photographer and I own my own photography business... and it may seem silly- but in my industry it's super important in this day and age as a small business owner to connect with your clients/prospective clients on a personal level, and to do it often, and the easiest way to cultivate that familiarity is through social media.... Dr. Kassir is a pro at this! (more on that later!) and I often take self portraits/selfies for my IG story/post behind the scenes photos of me shooting to my business social media. So anyways, with that in mind and because of my job, I found myself falling into the habit of making the same subtle photoshop adjustments to my nose in photos (because it takes me all of 2 seconds...), I finally just thought- well. I could actually just get this 'adjusted' in real life... and I already knew the perfect doctor I could trust for the job. That's what finally drove me to reach out and schedule a consultation. I filled out an inquiry form on Dr. Kassir's website on 12/26/19, and Maya promptly reached out to schedule a video consultation with me for about 2 weeks later. I had my video consultation with Maya on 1/16/2020 where we talked about my goals and she answered any questions I had regarding the surgery and logistics as I would be traveling in from out of town, and was able to give me a quote the same day. We did discuss availability, and I realized I did reach out pretty last minute... His surgical schedule was booked up several months in advance... and I only had a limited window in which I could realistically have the surgery and have enough down-time for recovery before I had clients and events to cover for work. Maya was great and so understanding- we emailed for a few days afterwards (just random questions I had regarding pricing etc, which were always answered quickly!), and she let me know she would reach out if something opened up that worked with my schedule. Maya reached out on the 23rd of January (1 week after my initial consult) to let me know that she was able to fit me in to Dr Kassir's schedule the following month, and I was so thrilled they were able to accommodate me, otherwise honestly I probably would have shelved the whole idea and not remembered to follow up in time to schedule something for next year.. haha. By Jan 29th, my retainer was paid and my surgery was officially scheduled for February 26th, 2020. The following few weeks were a whirlwind as I had to find a new primary care dr. to complete my medical clearance, and schedule psych. eval, which Maya and Nikole from Dr. Kassir's office were so helpful and referred me to someone they worked closely with to complete the psych clearance portion. I flew in to New York on the morning of Tuesday 2/25 and had my for my pre op appointment at 2pm. I filled out various forms and had pictures taken before my pre-op consult with Dr. Kassir. Ok- so back to what I was saying earlier about the importance of connecting with your clients via social media- Dr. Kassir is great at this and often posts stories and Instagram live videos with his patients, and it was the weirdest thing- but because I had followed him for so long, the moment he stepped into the room- it genuinely felt like I already knew him! Right off the bat he did acknowledge that while I didn't have a 'bad nose' to start with- and I appreciate his honesty! But I felt assured that he still understood the changes I was looking to make, and more importantly he assured me that my goals were realistic and he didn't make me feel silly for wanting surgery to begin with. (important side note- I had one previous rhinoplasty consultation with a surgeon in Chicago before I reached out to Dr Kassir, and it didn't go well. The Chicago surgeon was super arrogant and dismissive and honestly, I left that consultation feeling stupid and like that doctor thought my goals for surgery were dumb/unnecessary.... not the best feeling.) The difference between this consultation with Dr. Kassir and my previous chicago consultation was like night and day, and I knew immediately I had made the right decision in coming to Dr. Kassir!!! This is getting super long, so I'm going to end this initial post with just some before pics and examples of my surgical goals- and continue the following post with my experience on surgery day and recovery. *********Also - as I'm choosing pre-op pics to upload, I keep feeling compelled to say that I KNOW MY NOSE IS NOT 'BAD'.... I honestly think my initial appointment with the Chicago surgeon made me feel so bad for even inquiring about rhinoplasty, and it's sad. Patients shouldn't be made to feel stupid or silly for wanting a change, and I think that initial chicago consultation left me feeling really dumb and insecure about my decision to look into rhinoplasty. I had the complete opposite experience when talking with Dr Kassir, and he didn't make me feel stupid about wanting surgery- no matter how small or seemingly insignificant my goals were compared to other rhinoplasty cases. I'm going to try to stop minimizing my desire to get this in the first place, because no matter how small- my goals were valid, and Dr. Kassir was great at reassuring me in that. Updated on 5 Mar 2020: Wanted to include a separate post including my goal pics, I made this collage for Dr Kassir with some examples of the tip definition/lift I was looking for. Obviously all of the women in the collage are stunning, LOL... but they all have the cute, thin, defined nose I was hoping for. Also adding a quick facetuned selfie demonstrating those changes. Updated on 5 Mar 2020: I arrived at the Park Ave office the following morning at 7:30am, and was promptly taken back to go over any remaining paperwork and consent forms with my nurse Aneesa (who was wonderful btw!), change, and chat with the anesthesiologist. I knew my surgery wouldn't begin until at least 9am, so I brought my iPad with me and was able to work while I waited. My pre-op pics taken the day before were displayed on a screen in the room, Maya was kind enough to send those to me later so I'll also include those here. When the time came, Dr. Kassir came into the room, we chatted for a few minutes and went over my goals for the surgery once more before heading into the OR. I woke up what seemed like seconds later in recovery feeling fine, just a bit groggy as the anesthesia wore off. Aneesa let me know the surgery went well, and checked on me here and there as I woke up. I think she said the surgery started around 9:30, and took less than 2hrs. (so ended around 11:15/11:30 I believe?) By 12:15 I was fully alert, and I honestly felt completely fine at this point. One thing I forgot to mention- I traveled to NY alone for the surgery, none of my family and friends were able to make it last minute because it fell in the middle of the work week on a Wednesday. But- because of all of the 1day post-op instagram lives I had seen on Dr. Kassir's page with every single patient in great shape/saying they had zero pain- I was confident my surgery would be a breeze and was not worried at all to come alone. Maya let me know I would still need to have someone accompany me from the office to my hotel- and it was SO helpful that they are able to accommodate out-of-state patients in arranging transportation/help getting back to your hotel in advance of your surgery. The fee for that is $250, which was completely reasonable. I got back to my hotel quickly, around 12:45pm. (I stayed at the Franklin Hotel about 5 minutes away to save a bit on hotel costs, but there are several hotels right across the street from the Dr's office that are an option too.) I felt fine, but went to sleep for a few hours when I got back. At 4pm, I got a call from Dr. Kassir's office to check in on how I was feeling and answer any questions I had about medications. They also asked if I had taken any pain medication (extra strength Tylenol), I hadn't needed any as I had NO PAIN at all, which was awesome! (I also realized that I had forgotten to bring it with me- whoops! but it wasn't an issue at all!) I ordered UberEats a bit later, and actually was feeling completely fine to walk across the street to grab some Gatorade, tylenol, and random snacks from CVS. Watched movies and just relaxed the rest of the night. I only had to change my drip gauze a few times- I was actually shocked at how little bleeding I had. The only time there was visible bleeding was when I was brushing my teeth later/moving my mouth around, and even then it was only a few drops. Falling asleep that night was fine, but staying asleep was a bit hard. I had packing in my nostrils and had to breathe out of my mouth, and I kept accidentally closing my mouth in my sleep and waking myself up- I must have woken up at least 10 times that night, but overall the entire day of surgery went very smoothly and I had no pain at all! I had an appointment the following morning at 7:45am to remove packing before I headed back to Chicago! Will post more later :) Updated on 25 Apr 2020: The morning following surgery I still had zero pain. I went to the office around 7:45am and Dr Kassir removed the packing (two clear things), which wasn’t painful at all either. It felt nice though once they were out, and I was surprised I could breath out of my nose instantly- I guess I assumed there would be a ton of swelling and I would still feel congested or something, but that wasn’t the case. He changed the drip pad, and was also nice enough to give me a mask so I could have one to wear for the plane ride home a few hours later. (Covid19 was just starting to become a concern in the media at this point... it was Feb 27, 2020) I felt great, it was nice out, and I actually walked back to my hotel afterwards, stopping for coffee and a croissant on the way. I left for the airport around 11am, and flew out around 2:30pm to go back to Chicago. I’ll include some pics here- seriously I was so happy- I still had NO bruising or pain AT ALL! (Though honestly, I wasn’t surprised! This seems to be quite common based on other patient’s experiences with Dr. Kassir- he’s the best!) Updated on 25 Apr 2020: The following week was a breeze, honestly I had no complications, no pain, and just hung around at home. The office provided a little travel bag with goodies such as ointment, tape, gauze pads, and discharge instructions, and let me know I could call if I had any questions. I continued taking arnica, zinc, and bromelain and finished my antibiotics and Medrol (for inflammation). Sleeping wasn’t as difficult as I thought it would be. I put 2 large pillows against my headboard, and one on either side of my body so I wouldn’t roll to my side in my sleep, and used my travel pillow as well. Overall the week after surgery was very easy. I continued using the drip pads for a few days after surgery, but mostly to catch any mucus as there really wasn’t any bleeding (and since I couldn’t blow my nose.) I was able to gently clean around my stitches in the corners of my nose (from nostril reduction) with q tips, and reapplied the antibacterial ointment with q tips as well. The tape around my tip near my nostrils did get a little gross looking from the ointment constantly being reapplied, so after a few days I very carefully trimmed the yucky parts of the tape around my nostrils. I was able to keep my face clean first using cotton pads with micellar water, followed by wiping with another cotton pad moistened with water. Luckily I didn’t experience any breakouts from not being able to wash my face, so I think this really helped! Updated on 25 Apr 2020: I had cast removal 1 week post-op! I had the option of either being referred to a Dr in my area to do this, or they could set up an appointment to walk me through it via FaceTime. Since all of the covid stuff going on (and honestly, partially also because I didn’t want to pay an extra few hundred dollars for an in-office visit for a Chicago doc to do this) - I opted to have Dr Kassir’s office call me and walk me through the cast removal myself. I had watched tons of videos online of cast removals, and it actually was very simple! I used the edge of a q-tip (with the cotton bud removed) to simply slide under each side of the cast, and then slide under the middle to lift off. It was very easy and I appreciate that they were able to walk me through this remotely as I did it! Now, as I mentioned, I had watched several videos of cast removals and people always exclaim how crazy it is to see your new nose- and let me tell you, it’s the weirdest thing! I think I must have said- “Oh my god! This is so weird!” At least 5 times on the FaceTime call once the cast came off, LOL. Despite the odd sensation of seeing a new nose on my face- I can honestly say I LOVED it, immediately! It was so much more refined, the tip was lifted, my nostrils were smaller, it was perfect! I’ll include a ton of pics on this update with immediately after cast removal, and from the following days. I will say, I did experience a bit of swelling through the tip as the day went on, and through the following week- but that is expected once the pressure of the cast is removed. I had already read a ton about this and knew to expect it, so I wasn’t very worried when it happened. I only noticed the swelling from the front view, and started to notice the swelling go down again within the next 2 weeks. Over the next few days, some of the stitches came out on their own, and I had the others removed. I did seem to have some asymmetrical swelling inside one of my nostrils after the cast removal, but I’ve been patient and by now around 2 months post op, most of that has resolved. I continue to see improvements every week, will post another update with 1+month post op pics! Updated on 25 Apr 2020: Continuing to see improvements every day! I think one of the most important things in the months following your rhinoplasty is to be prepared for the swelling once your cast comes off- because it will happen. Luckily my swelling was not too bad at all, (from the front, the swelling just kind of resembled my old nose... lol) but I think it helped immensely that I already expected it- so I wasn’t shocked or worried when it happened. Be patient, and know it will resolve over time! I’m thrilled with my results thus far and I’m only 2 months out! Updated on 16 Feb 2021: Pics from the past few months - current
The process was amazing. From my first facetime appointment and booking my surgery date to the actual procedure it was all effortless. After surgery I had no pain, it was so easy! I even flew back to Texas just 2 days after surgery! Splint removal via facetime was so easy too. Overall, couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
I came to dr Kassir a year ago and I am Just so grateful he was my doctor - not only did he work his magic with my appearance but I had a huge whole in the septum from previous medications as a little girl. He completely supported my nose while giving me the look I dreamed of. I have my friends always asking how I feel and my first word is always just grateful. Since the time I started this process everyone has been sweet and making sure I am taken care of even at the surgeon center. My latest check in I had a last min child care dilemma and they were so sweet and understanding that I had to bring my young one. Dr Kassir was very gentle and did the exam even with her on my Lap ! I love my nose and can’t thank him enough !
The safest for under eye and tear through is Restylane. One CC with an extreme eye needle is enough.

The use of exfoliants (such as Glycolic Acid and Renova) should be stopped at least one week before laser hair removal.
Under eye laser treatment and eye fillers may help to reduce the appearance of under eye veins. Lasers pose a slight risk of clotting and serious eye damage. Although these are rare possibilities, they are potential side effects and therefore many patients and surgeons opt for the use of injectable fillers such as Restylane. This puts a barrier between the areas of less volume and the visible under eye veins and helps to minimize the greenish/blueish tint and increase volume.
