I had Revanesse- Versa lip fillers done 2 months ago. I mostly love them, except it looks like the filler may be set a bit too high. I get the lip filler mustache in certain light. I am not sure what to do since I don’t want to get rid of them, but really dislike this look.
Answer: Filler migration Hi @tbl732! Unfortunately, this appears to be filler migration. I would recommend dissolving your lips and starting with a fresh canvas. Best of luck!

Answer: Dissolve and refill This is filler that has migrated or was placed in the wrong place to begin with, or too much was put in too quickly. You should be seen in person, but this won't go away anytime soon on its own--best treatment is to dissolve and refill your lips if you would still like to have lip filler.

Answer: Unhappy with results of lip filler: Here's what you need to know Hello, and thank you for your question. It seems too much filler was injected, that’s why it is puffing out at the upper lip and resulting in the lip mustache. Yes, it can be improved but only after the filler effects have completely worn off (after 6-12 months) or by having them dissolved. Once your lips have returned to their natural state, you may return for additional treatments. I highly recommend only seeking injectable treatments from a reputable, experience injector. Such experts will have the optimal skills, as well as artistry and knowledge of facial aesthetics, harmony, and proportion, to ensure you achieve the most natural-looking results. They will also know the best filler to use, how much to use, and precisely where to inject to product an optimal outcome. During your consultation, your provider will evaluate your lips and skin quality, discuss your concerns and goals, and ensure the best possible outcome.

Answer: Lip fillers Dear tbl732, you have two options, you can wait for fillers to disappear or get them dissolved. I perform a lot of lip injections with fillers such as juvederm and it works great. Many times I need to put more in one side than the other to attempt to even out the vermillion border (The red line of the lip). This helps provide more symmetry at times. For patients looking for a more long lasting result, I recommend fat grafting. That is, using your own bodies fat to make your lips naturally look more shapely. The bonus is that the results last many many years. In general, I avoid using permanent prosthesis because I find that the lips are such dynamic and sensitive structures, the end result is not natural. Answer: Lip filler Your provider injected too much filler in the Vermilion border. When doing that it needs to be done much more conservatively. personally when I inject the Vermilion border I do it just enough that you can see a slight difference. You can either wait for the filler to go away or consider reversing the filler with an enzyme injection. If you can live with it then it’s probably better to wait it out because it should be improving with time. Consider another provider for the fillers in the future or have a conversation with your provider about how they do fillers and what part you did not like. Over treating the upper lip is a dead giveaway for someone having had lip fillers and this is especially true with injecting the Vermilion border aggressively like in your case. Look around for the most talented and experienced providers doing lip fillers in your community. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
