I've had laser hair removal in the past. The technician used a machine where she aimed and a light appeared. It was painful. Today, I went to a different place and the gal used ultra sound gel on me and it barely hurt. Is this as effective?

With each treatment you should see a reduction in the hair growth. You need to do a series of 4-6 treatments that are spaced every 6-8 weeks apart. Some areas are more sensitive than others. If you don't see a reduction than you should contact your provider.
