I had another session 2 weeks ago and I the laser was turned up more. Too high cuz it burned me. I've been putting neosporin on but it doesn't seem to be helping. Pus or something occasionally comes out. What should I do to make this heal?
Answer: Burn from laser hair removal. Discontinue the Neosporin ASAP, that can be very occlusive, trapping heat inside the skin. Avoid strenuous exercise and hot showers/saunas/steam rooms. Aloe is great for all types of burns, and icing the area on and off throughout the day can help to soothe. Avoid shaving, or scrubbing the area so that your skin stays intact.I'm so sorry for your frustration, please make sure you discuss with your laser professional at your next appointment. Answer: Burn Scar - Silicone Based scar gel with growth factors, sun protection This needs wound care at this time and you should see a cosmetic dermatologist with experience. Avoid going to this office again. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: What should you use on a LHR burn? It all depends on the depth of the burn. Most are superficial and in those cases I would not use Neosporin on it as after some days it is common to develop a topical sensitivity to that product. Further using it in an area that is not open to air all the time can make it very occlusive. I would contact your laser specialist, but for my patients I often suggest Aloe Vera (without Alcohol) as many times as needed throughout the day for the next 2 weeks. I'm so sorry this happened to you, make sure you tell your Laser Nurse. #burnfromlaser #underarms #LHR

Answer: Skin Burn After Laser Hair Removal....... The first and most important thing to do is follow up with a Plastic Surgeon. Make sure that the place that performed the laser treatment knows what happened. There is no one correct cream to use for this wound. It appears to be a 3rd degree burn. It will heal in time with local wound care, ie: ointment and dressing changes. Surgical treatment may also be required. See your surgeon asap.DiscoverTheBeauty.com
