Rogaine is causing major hair growth on my face! Would laser hair removal work?

Question

I am a 22 year female who has been using Rogaine foam for about four months and it has been working. However, this has caused major hair growth on my face especially on my cheeks. Since I want to continue using Rogaine, if I got laser hair removal on my face would it stop the hair growth? I do not want to spend the money and find out later that due to the Rogaine hair removal would not work. Thank you.

Are you using 5% Rogaine Twice per day? I would recommend using this way for 6 months then after 6 months decrease to ounce per day. Laser hair removal is effective for facial hair removal but more than one treatment may be necessary. Check with a cosmetic dermatologist who offers this service. Good Luck!

Thank you for your clinical post and
sorry to hear the reaction to Rogaine. 
The Rogaine you’re using is stimulating facial hair growth, which
although unusual, does happen.  You may
want to consider going to a stronger strength serum that you apply only night
into the scalp, which has less risk of migration to facial areas or any
metabolic and systemic effects. 
Additionally, you can add low-level light therapy to the scalp as well
as PRP (plasma rich protein).

Having dealt with increased
densification of the scalp through non-surgical means the facial hair growth
can be dealt with with facial lasers.  At
