How Do I Get Rid of Armpit Fat?

Fat in the bra roll area which is near the axilla is easily available for fat removal by liposuction. The axillary tail of the breast extends into the armpit in might require direct surgical excision rather than liposuction.

             You will need an exam to determine if liposuction is the most reasonable alternative.  Liposuction results are highly surgeon dependent.  Find a plastic surgeon with ELITE credentials who performs hundreds of liposuction procedures each year.  Then look at the plastic surgeon's website before and after photo galleries to get a sense of who can deliver the results.

Thank you for the question. The area of fullness you describe tends to consist of mainly breast tissue. In my experience, it is best treated ( for most patients) with direct excision of the “excess” skin and breast tissue. Liposuction surgery alone will likely not be as effective and/or may leave you with continued excess/irregular skin.Placement of the incision line in the hair bearing axillary area is one of the keys to success; keeping the resulting scar as hidden as possible is important to most patients.I hope this helps.

You are just finishing a pregnancy, and this could represent fat that got larger during your pregnancy, or it could represent breast tissue in your axilla. It is difficult to give a better answer without pictures. In either case, I would recommend addressing this after you finish breast feeding and after you get you weight to a stable place. This almost certainly can be addressed with a quick liposuction procedure.

Since you are breast feeding this probably represents breast tissue. When you are finished breast feeding, if this is still a problem it can be addressed with liposuction. This is a problem area for many women and can usually be improved satisfactorily.  Best of Luck   Dr Harrell

The history you gave points more towards the Axillay Breast rather than Axillary Fat.You will notice that after you have stopped breast feeding,after 6months or so the swellings in the arm pit will be some what smaller.If you then think it is too big and in the way of your day to day life then go and see a Board certified Plastic Surgeon and let him decide the treatment,either excision or Li[posuction.I will probably  choose Excision rather than Liposuction to avoid  chance of bleeding from blind suction..

But you need a good physical exam. The armpit fullness can be breast tissue, and that needs to be cut out.
