41 years old - Is it sensible to get an arm lift and thigh lift at the same time?

I need an arm lift and thigh reduction/lift. Also a BA with implants. I'm 41 and have a lot of excess skin. I've had a tummy tuck already but need the other procedures done.

Thank you for your question regarding at age 42 years, is it sensible to get an arm lift and thigh lift at the same time.  If you are healthy and your labs are normal, the brachioplasty (arm lift or arm reduction) can be technically performed at the same time as a thighplasty (thigh lift or thigh reduction).  However, most experienced plastic surgeons who specialize in reconstructive plastic surgery after massive weight loss would NOT recommend performing the brachioplasty with the thighplasty.  The problem is not in the ability to complete these combined procedures.  The problem is in the patient’s recovery process.  If you have combined arm reduction and thigh reduction surgeries, all your extremities are “out.” If you have arm lift and thigh lift surgeries, it is very difficult to get out of bed becaues you will need your arms,  walk to the bathroom because you will need your thighs, pull down your thigh garment becase you will need your arms, sit on the toiket because you will need your thighs, wipe and keep yourself clean beacuse you will need your arms, pull the garment back on beacuse you will need your arms, walk back to bed beacuse you will need your thighs, and get back into bed beacuse you will need your arms.  Therefore, most experienced plastic surgeons would not recommend combining an arm lift and a thigh lift into one surgery. You must have in mind that you won’t be able to use your arms to support your body to move around because of the arm lift. 
After the thigh lift you won’t be able to use your thighs to move around and specifically Thighs are very challenging To recover. 
So if you do both at the same time the recovery turns into a very rough, tough and painful recovery, because you must use something. 
My recommendation will be to have surgery in the same anatomical area. Breast and arms sounds like a perfect plan.

It is possible to do multiple procedures, including arm and thigh lift, breast augmentation, eventually breast lift, in the same time. However, only on the basis of in person evaluation, a board certified plastic surgeon, familiar with these procedure and aware of patient medical condition, could make a sound plan of how many and which of these procedures can be done in one surgery, safely. Combining procedures is common and considered safe, but there is a limit.  The procedures that you are considering could potentially be done in one trip to the operating room, but an examination and review of your medical history is needed to determine if you are a good candidate.  The best place to begin is a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon near you.
