IPL or BBL is an effective and safe treatment when performed by highly trained experts with the right equipment and settings for redness, burst blood vessels, and brown sun spots. I know of no high quality safe and effective home treatment. Stick with your dermatologist for the optimal balance of efficacy and safety.
Home care IPL systems do not work and are a waste of money. The wavelengths they have basically heat water in the skin only. They do not have an ability to treat pigment and color because that wavelength cannot be put into a tiny handheld device. Save your money and have effective treatments done at a professional office.
